FAQ
Frequently asked questions
No, while I am able to design and draw similarly to as an architect would, the main things that set me apart is that I am not licensed nor do I have the extra schooling. This just means that I cannot stamp or engineer plans. I'm drafter and also an architectural designer in name and experience only.
I'm a drafting business that offers drafting and rendering services and un-engineered pre-drawn floor plans. As a fun little addition to my business, I also offer and sell art and photography!
I'm located physically in Alaska in the Mat-Su valley, but I offer my services remotely online!
There are a lot of crazy people and scammers out there these days, and I want to make sure I take extra measures just to be safe. Contracts and/or agreements protect both me, and you as the client. It ensures that the scope of work or service is outlined and understood by both parties as well as the roles, responsibilities, penalties, and expectations for what I will be providing, and you will be receiving. If anything goes wrong or is misunderstood, we will have a signed document to refer back to and help keep things clear or aid in getting potential issues resolved.
Yes! I'm a big respecter of copywrite laws and other's rights to their work. All of my artwork, furniture designs, plans, and designs are my own. I may be inspired by others, but I will not copy or use their things as my own. If you decide to do custom plans with me, please note that I will not copy someone else's work and you will either have to purchase the plan from the original source if you want me to modify it (as long as it is permitted by the owner, and you buy the correct license to the plans) or we will have to make your design different enough that it will not infringe on copywrite laws.
No, I do not currently have an office. Maybe one day that will change if my business grows that big! Otherwise, unless necessary or requested to meet in person with good reason, I work remotely only.
Yes! Though my website only offers pricing for exterior renderings in a package deal, you can reach out and we can get pricing for you. I don't offer a set pricing for one exterior rendering because the scope of the work can vary greatly depending on your project and what you want. There's a lot to narrow down to just produce one rendering.
I can definitely give recommendations based on my personal experience with who I've come in contact with, worked with, and heard of! However, please note that ultimately any recommendations or thoughts/experiences that I share are my personal opinions/experiences only, and they in no way guarantee a positive experience or should be used to reflect negatively upon said businesses/persons.
Different types of foundations can be used and vary especially per location and builder/contractor preferences. I can't account for which one will be used or preferred and therefore leave it off to avoid confusion or inaccurate foundation type and drawing/design. If you purchase or design a plan with me, foundation plans can be produced if you have your builder & home site selected and I am able to work with them directly through the design/drafting process.
I believe in customer satisfaction and don't want to nickel and dime my clients especially when little changes are needed that weren't previously anticipated but are required to be made on the plans. If something like this occurs, please reach out to me with the issue and we will come up with a solution whether it's a quick fix or a large or total design change that will then require a discussion on pricing.
I can make changes on a previously purchased plan from somewhere or someone else as long as I am legally allowed to. This often means that you must purchase a license to make changes or that you need to get permission from the original owner to make changes. The same thing applies if you started working with someone else to draft your project but then brought it to me to finish it. I will not work on it unless you have written consent, a license, or there isn't a contract that binds you to finishing that project with whomever you started it with. If allowable, pricing/rates will then vary per discussion/scope and project for me to make changes or finish a plan from somewhere/someone else.
Yes! I have a registered state of Alaska business license.
